Crypto exchange rules in Indonesia, checked 26 October 2026
Only OJK-licensed platforms appear on this page. Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) has supervised crypto asset trading since 10 January 2025, when supervision moved from Bappebti, and on 19 December 2025 it published its list of licensed crypto asset trading platforms (PFAK). Of the exchanges we cover, Indodax (PT Indodax Nasional Indonesia) and Bittime (PT Utama Aset Digital Indonesia) are on that list; Pintu, Pluang, Reku, Tokocrypto, Triv, Nanovest and Upbit Indonesia are licensed too but not reviewed here yet.
How this page is ordered. The ranking below shows the 2 exchanges we cover that hold an OJK licence (PFAK) for Indonesia, ordered by CoinGecko trust rank, the same rank we use on every ranking page. Licence status comes first: an exchange that is not on the register is not listed, whatever its size and whether or not it is a partner. The licensed entity, the regulator and the date for each one are in the licence record lower on this page. If you want a shortlist by fees and features instead, the Exchange Finder applies the same licence rule.
Not listed, and why. Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, Gate, Bitstamp and the other global exchanges we cover are not on the OJK list, and a platform outside the list is outside OJK supervision; Luno Indonesia is listed only as a prospective trader, and binance.com is not Tokocrypto.
How to check any platform yourself: open the OJK's list of licensed crypto asset trading platforms and search for the Indonesian company name. If it is not there, it may not serve you.
